Chrissy tried her best to save herself from the visions but was unaware of the fact and the truth of Vecna; she failed to understand what exactly is she suffering from.
She was possessed by Vecna and was killed brutally in front of Eddie. At first, he thought she was having a stroke, but later her body was assaulted badly.
All this incident left Eddie Munson in shock as he, too, was unaware of what happened to Chrissy.
And that is how these two potential lovers in the series parted ways in the series. The show fans liked their chemistry very much and were disappointed when they ended their journey with Chrissy at the show’s beginning.
