Last month, following the debut of Mario Kart World, Samantha Kelly announced that she would no longer be voicing Princess Peach, a role she had held for 18 years. Recently, it has been confirmed that Courtney Lin will be stepping in as the new voice for both Princess Peach and Baby Peach.

Lin announced on her social media accounts, expressing her deep respect for the actresses who voiced Peach before her. She stated, “I can finally say… I’m the voice of Princess Peach and Baby Peach in Mario Kart World!” Lin expressed gratitude to Nintendo for entrusting her with the legacy of this beloved character. “These characters are so much bigger than ourselves. I am so honored and honestly can still hardly believe it. I have so much respect for all of the Peaches that came before me, especially the one I grew up with. I will do my best with every opportunity I am given, and I hope you all have been enjoying the game. Wahooo!”

According to her official website, Lin has lent her voice to various characters in popular series, including Monster High, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Pokémon (Pokémon Masters EX). Her name appeared in the credits of Mario Kart World alongside that of Kevin Afghani, who voices Mario, when the game was released on June 5.

Additionally, this announcement comes on the heels of Samantha Kelly’s revelation that she learned her time as Princess Peach was coming to an end during the release of the Switch 2 and the latest Mario Kart installment. The change in voice actors for Princess Peach also coincides with recent updates about the voices of Donkey Kong and Pauline in the upcoming Donkey Kong Bananza.
