Harry Styles, the acclaimed English singer and songwriter, successfully completed the Berlin Marathon in under three hours on Sunday. The 31-year-old, known for his former membership in One Direction, joined approximately 55,000 runners on what is considered the fastest marathon course in the world.
Running under the alias Sted Sarandos and sporting a headband and sunglasses, Styles crossed the finish line with an impressive time of 2 hours, 59 minutes, and 13 seconds. Achieving a sub-three-hour marathon is a prestigious milestone for many long-distance runners.
Reports from Der Tagesspiegel indicated that Styles had been seen training in Berlin in the lead-up to the race. Post-race, he was photographed with Richard Whitehead, a Paralympic gold medalist who is undertaking the challenge of completing 20 marathons this year. Whitehead shared the moment on Instagram.

Kenya’s Sabastian Sawe emerged as the winner of the marathon, finishing with a remarkable time of 2:02:16. In addition to his athletic pursuits, Styles is known for his music career, with his self-titled debut album achieving chart-topping success in the US, UK, and various other countries, followed by his 2019 release, Fine Line, which included the Grammy-winning single ‘Watermelon Sugar.’
