A Delta co-pilot was apprehended on Saturday night following a flight from Minneapolis to San Francisco, shortly after it touched down. Federal agents boarded the aircraft to detain the individual as passengers were preparing to disembark. Reports from Fox News indicate that the pilot was under investigation for child pornography offenses.
Witnesses onboard described seeing several federal agents enter the cockpit and arrest the co-pilot immediately after landing. One passenger, who is related to a FOX 9 staff member and was also on the flight, recounted how the agents instructed passengers to remain seated while they proceeded towards the cockpit.
The co-pilot was seen being handcuffed and escorted off the plane by agents, some of whom were identified as members of Homeland Security.
Passengers reported that even the flight crew appeared uncertain about the unfolding situation. “I looked at him and I said, ‘What’s going on?’ He said, ‘I have no idea,’” the passenger recalled. The crew member seemed genuinely surprised by the sudden presence of law enforcement, especially after they had begun preparing for arrival.
Following the incident, FOX 9 reached out to various agencies, including law enforcement and representatives from Delta, for more information regarding the arrest. Delta directed inquiries to law enforcement, while Homeland Security directed questions to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, which had not released any updates about the situation.

According to Fox News national correspondent Bill Melugin, citing a senior federal source, the co-pilot was arrested on charges related to materials depicting child sexual abuse.
As of Sunday, FOX 9 has not independently verified the details of the arrest through official channels, and the identity of the detained co-pilot has yet to be disclosed. It remains unknown whether the pilot is based in the Minneapolis area or another location.
