The nominations for the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards, the pinnacle of recognition in television, were unveiled on Tuesday. Leading the pack was the Apple TV+ series “Severance,” which garnered an impressive 27 nominations, as reported by the Television Academy.
Following closely was HBO Max’s “The Penguin,” securing 24 nominations. Both “The Studio” and “The White Lotus” tied for third place with 23 nominations each. In terms of overall nominations, HBO Max achieved a record-breaking total of 142, outpacing Netflix with 120 and Apple TV+ with 81. Warner Bros. Television Group, which is part of Warner Bros. Discovery, claimed the title of the most-nominated studio this year with 60 nominations.
